What We Do
The Centre for Eye and Vision Research (CEVR) is a collaborative initiative between The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the University of Waterloo, established under the InnoHK initiative of the HKSAR Government. Located in Hong Kong Science Park, CEVR focuses on pioneering research in five areas: myopia and eye growth, ocular drug discovery, and discovery, vision enhancement, tear film and ocular surface, and advanced optometric technology. Our mission is to develop technologies to prevent vision loss in the aging population and preserve healthy vision, driving real-world impacts through translational research and commercialization. At ARVO, we will showcase our cutting-edge technologies, including the Structured Light Observation and Perception Evaluation (SLOPE) Device for early macular degeneration detection, augmented reality (AR) software for the visually impaired, Eye-On-a-Chip device for testing eye products, and a biomimetic nanoplatform for retinal disease treatment. Visit booth 2009 to learn more about our products and discuss potential collaborations with our research colleagues.
